American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR Tech position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the CVOR unit of a large, Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ staffed beds
• Average patient ratio of 1:2
• Schedule options include 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00a–7:30p), 36–40 hours per week, or a combination of 2x12 and 2x8-hour shifts (7:00a–3:30p or 10:45a–7:15p)
• On-call required: 2 call shifts per M–F week (either 7p–11p or 7p–7a), plus 1 day per week available for late stay
• Weekend call required: two 24-hour call shifts per schedule
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting is performed using Epic
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required; pending licenses considered provided active license is obtained prior to start date
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR/cardiovascular OR experience required
• Prior experience at a large Trauma Center required
• Clean nursing license required (no prior disciplinary history on license)
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster are required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
