American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Resource Float Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency at an academic teaching hospital in Vermont.

Details

• Resource Float unit, floating to Med/Surg Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed
• Academic teaching hospital environment
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required; no on-call responsibilities
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block schedules
• 26-week contract
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Vermont or a Compact state; NY candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY licensure
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• PCCN or orthopedic certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Academic or teaching hospital experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Complete work history including bed count, EMR, facility type, and trauma level required

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly Monday orientations offered; next available orientation is April 20
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those 51–100 miles away fall under a mid-range radius tier
