American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Long Term Care (LTC) Charge Nurse position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and an active SD or compact RN license.

• Varied day and evening shifts
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• Prior LTC experience is applicable to this role

Additional Information

• Functions as Charge Nurse and primary contact on the assigned shift, directly supervising Nursing Assistants
• Responsibilities include resident assessments, nursing diagnoses, care plan development and implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions
• Prepares, administers, and documents routine and emergency medications and treatments
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills in IV therapy, including IV initiation, medication administration, and central line and catheter management
• Coordinates outside physician visits and communicates effectively with physicians and family members regarding resident care
• Participates in the facility's interdisciplinary Quality Management program
• Performs safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
