Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CV OR position in a hospital surgery department, requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent cardiovascular surgery experience including on and off pump CABG.

Details

• Hospital-based surgery department with 11 ORs and a dedicated Cysto room
• Cardiovascular OR focus with procedures including on-pump CABG, off-pump CABG, vascular bypass, and carotid endarterectomy
• Vascular surgery experience is preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; no overnight shift
• Call requirements cover Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Minimum 3 years of recent CV surgery experience
• On and off pump CABG experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• CV OR experience and vascular surgery experience are preferred qualifications that will be prioritized during review
• Team includes a Director, Charge Nurse, Circulators, Surgical Techs, Nurse Techs, Anesthesia Tech, and Unit Clerk on day shift
