American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Adult Psychiatric Unit position requiring a minimum of 1 year of psych experience and a WA state RN license, with night shift scheduling and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Located in a 226-bed non-profit community hospital on the 1 North Adult Psych unit, which currently has 18 psychiatric beds with capacity to expand to 27
• Patient population includes adults with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Suicidal Ideation, and Dementia with Behaviors
• EMR: Epic (experience required); IV pumps: Alaris; Medication dispensing: Omnicell
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required: 2 weekends per month
• Floating to Med/Surg units required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required
• Proficiency in psychiatric assessments, de-escalation techniques, and physical restraint procedures required
• At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference will be required prior to start
