American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a remote Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.

• Fully remote position supporting a telephone triage call center
• Provides advanced clinical telephone triage support to patients, including assessment, clinical decision making, nursing diagnosis, care disposition, and patient teaching
• Collaborates with clinic and hospital-based providers on prescription renewals, referrals, consultations, and hospital and community resource identification
• Assists physician partners with message management and other communications within the EMR system
• Limited outpatient patient care support included as part of the role
• Fast-paced environment; some overnight/grave shifts are quieter in pace
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 12:00–20:30; Evening shift: 5x8 hours, 15:00–23:00
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• ED, urgent care, or outpatient primary care background is a plus

Requirements

• Active CA RN license and home state RN license (UT or compact) required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong telephone communication, patient assessment, and critical thinking skills required
• Proficiency in applying the nursing process including assessing, planning, clinical decision making, nursing diagnosis, teaching, and patient disposition
• High-speed internet and a private, dedicated office space required for remote work setup
• 2 supervisor references from within the past year required
• 7-year work history verification required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay; local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a local rate
• Former employees or travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
