Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Float position requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, MA licensure in hand, and a willingness to float to PCU as needed.

Details

• 20-bed ICU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring are performed in this unit
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR used; prior experience is strongly preferred
• Floating to PCU is required as needed, with float opportunities occurring every 4 hours
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active MA RN license must be in hand prior to consideration — the facility will not pend licensure
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current critical care experience required
• Proficiency with ventilators, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Must have a personal vehicle — this is a firm requirement
• TNCC certification preferred
• BSN preferred
• Critical care skills checklist current within the past year required for consideration
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests will not be approved at or after the time of offer, and late requests may result in a rescinded offer
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested
