American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma facility in Boston, MA, with scrub and circulator experience required across a wide range of complex surgical specialties.

• Hospital-based OR setting focused on inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery
• OR West unit consists of 10 operating rooms
• Surgical specialties include bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplants
• Primarily based on the West Main campus with potential to float to East or CVI OR
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Up to 2 weekends per month required, either on-call (7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) or working scheduled shifts
• One short call shift per week (3:00 AM–7:00 AM or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM)
• 30-minute on-call response time required
• All holidays are eligible to be worked while on contract
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience circulating and/or scrubbing required across general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma
• Transplant experience (kidney and/or liver) strongly preferred
• Level I Trauma OR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• COVID vaccine and booster required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and/or circulating across a broad range of complex surgical procedures including transplants, robotics, and trauma cases
• Liver transplant experience is a strong differentiator for this role
• Orientation is held weekly every Monday, excluding holidays
• An interview will be required — please have dates and times of availability ready
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to the start of the assignment
• Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
• Parking in Boston can cost up to $43/day — candidates should factor this into their decision
