American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor for a night shift travel position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 5 years of house supervisor experience and current AHA-issued ACLS and BLS certifications.

Details

• Long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting within the Nursing Administration department
• Night shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Supervisory role overseeing nursing staff and patient care operations across the facility

Requirements

• Active IN RN or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI/RCIS certifications not accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 5 years of House Supervisor experience in a hospital setting
• ICU experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include day-to-day management and long-term planning of patient care areas, directing and developing nursing staff, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Accountable for maintaining nursing guidelines, enforcing infection-control protocols, and ensuring regulatory compliance with state board of nursing and governing agencies
• Supports patients and families by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual care, and promoting patient independence through education and counseling
• Oversees equipment maintenance, nursing supply inventory, and documentation audits to ensure operational readiness
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• Prior work history at any Kindred Hospital facility (permanent or contract) will be reviewed during consideration
