American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department night shift position in Andalusia, AL, requiring 2 years of ED experience and active AL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Position is located in a community hospital Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (RQI and RCIS certifications are not accepted)
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability in delivering care to ED patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the ED
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Continuing education expected to maintain clinical competencies
• All certifications must be current and not expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Prior permanent or contract employment at a Community Health facility must be disclosed during consideration
