Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with at least 1 year of hospital acute care experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in Maryland.

Details

• Work in a large, fast-paced acute care hospital setting
• Patient caseload includes a mix of orthopedic, neurological, and critical care diagnoses
• EMR is used for documentation and charting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with one weekend day per month
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current Maryland PTA license or eligibility; license required if applicable
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience required; new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations will also be considered
• Degree from a CAPTE-accredited program required
• Experience with EMR documentation required
• Strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication required
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

• Deliver physical therapy services according to individualized patient treatment plans
• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and caseload compliance
• Conduct patient and family education as part of the care process
