American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position requiring Epic proficiency, high-acuity ICU experience, and night shift availability.

Details

• High-acuity Surgical ICU (SICU) setting within a large hospital system
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Patient population includes general post-op surgical recovery, as well as CVICU patients (post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection) and transplant recovery (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas)
• Floating required to other ICUs and Step-Down Units (SDUs)
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:15–07:15
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) catheters and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) preferred
• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be AHA-issued
• Significant high-acuity ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign you to an emergency response team, which may require you to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team during an emergency event
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• 13-week contract
