American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a day shift travel position in Tucson, AZ at a Trauma Level III facility requiring Cerner EMR experience and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting with 38 beds
• Trauma Level III Certified facility; also a Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving center
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3x12s
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Floating is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• BLS required; all certifications must remain active through the first 30 days of the assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification recommended but not required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability in delivering care to ED patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and coordinating safe patient care
• Delegates patient care responsibilities in alignment with available staff education and experience
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Black scrubs required
