Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, prior travel experience, and heart and vascular expertise including wire and supplies experience.

Details

• Position is located in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab unit
• Patient population is adult and geriatric (ages 18 and older), with vascular and cardiac cases including LVAD, temporary pacers, and intra-aortic balloon pump procedures (ECMO excluded)
• Staff-to-patient ratio is 4 staff per 1 patient, per procedure
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Weekend call and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active MS or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Heart and vascular experience required, including wire and supplies
• A reference from a leadership role (e.g., nurse manager) covering the last year of employment is required; if worked at multiple facilities in the past year, a reference from each is required
• Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a nurse-scrubbing facility — Cath Lab nurses rotate scrubbing alongside the physician
• 13-week contract
• Interview process involves an IVS interview with offer extended by the manager
