American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR Surgical Technologist (CVOR Surg Tech) for a 13-week travel contract at a comprehensive hospital in Birmingham, AL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience.

Details

• Position is in the Main OR within the Open Heart Surgery department of a 595-bed acute care hospital
• Cardiovascular surgical patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio
• CVOR experience is required; vascular experience is preferred
• Day shift schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• On-call required on weekends, distributed evenly by the CVOR Coordinator
• No floating required
• Cerner EMR (experience preferred)
• Standard OR equipment used

Requirements

• AL RN license or Compact license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• AHA BLS certification required (American Red Cross not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience required
• Active, unexpired certifications required — certs expiring within 30 days of start date are not accepted
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Scrub color required: ceil blue or royal blue
• Unacceptable attire includes fleece, hooded garments, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and nail polish
