American Traveler is seeking a travel LPN with inpatient rehab or med/surg experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week day shift assignment at an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison, WI.

Details

• Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison, WI
• Inpatient rehabilitation unit serving adult patients with high-acuity needs including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
• Approximately 70% of patient cases are referred from a trauma center
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night shift coverage also available (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
• On-call requirements apply
• EMR: Epic (minimum 13 weeks of experience required)
• Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, and BGM

Requirements

• Current LPN license required (Wisconsin license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Inpatient rehab or med/surg experience strongly preferred
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Joint Commission-accredited and CARF-accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs
• The unit can reach high acuity levels and operates similarly to a med/surg environment; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed
• May include CNA duties as needed for unit stabilization
• Floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future; not currently expected
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
