Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in California, requiring CA RN licensure and OR experience with trauma, ortho, and other complex surgical cases.

Details

• Acute care hospital operating room setting
• Common case types include trauma, orthopedic, vascular, neuro, ENT, thoracic, and general surgery
• 12-hour day shifts, Friday through Sunday
• On-call required on weekdays (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) and rotating weekends (6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, or 10:30 PM–7:00 AM), approximately 3–4 times per 4-week schedule
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS — must be active; pending certifications will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• COVID vaccination required
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Orientation is 12 hours
