Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a night shift travel assignment, requiring 3+ years of CVOR experience and scrub proficiency for open heart cases.

Details

• Position is based in the CVOR unit of a main hospital campus
• Adult open heart surgical cases including CABG and valve repairs/replacements (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic)
• Procedures include TAVR, ECMO, laser lead extractions, and work with Impella and HeartMate devices
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• On-call requirement of 32 hours per month
• May float to the Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled during a shift
• Charting performed in Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience required
• Scrub proficiency for open CVOR cases is required; circulator experience and TAVR experience are highly preferred
• Familiarity with Impella and HeartMate devices required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred (first-time travelers will be considered)

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Any schedule requests or time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
• Local candidates are accepted
• Previous employees of the RWJ Barnabas Health (RWJBH) system — whether full-time or PRN — must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
