American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and prior travel history.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with a Level I Trauma Center designation
• Emergency Department (ER) unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles; cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — Multistate (Compact) or Mississippi state license required; no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• ADN or higher required for this position
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Vaccination status documentation required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as RTO will not be approved if not submitted at the time of consideration
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered and can be discussed during the interview process
