American Traveler is hiring a travel RN - Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a leadership role in a long-term care setting, requiring a MN RN license, BSN, and at least 2 years of nursing leadership experience.

Details

• Full-time, Monday–Friday day shift schedule (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Two positions available: one supporting an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) licensure and one supporting a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) — candidates are not required to have experience in both
• Long-term care setting (assisted living and/or skilled nursing)
• Charting via Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• BSN required; Master's degree in nursing, business, or a health-related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience in long-term care and familiarity with Minnesota healthcare regulations required
• At least 2 years of relevant specialty experience and/or 3 completed travel assignments required for this Rochester, MN facility
• Certifications: BLS through AHA or American Red Cross
• COVID vaccination and booster required
• Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in staff education, scheduling, and quality assurance
• Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• The ADON supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality resident care in an assisted living environment
• Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, supporting staffing plan development, and managing the complexity of nursing department operations
• Oversees quality assurance, staff education, and scheduling within the nursing department
• Candidates must have an active (non-pending) MN RN license at the time of consideration
• RTO requests must be disclosed upfront during the consideration process
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a break is required before starting a new assignment at this facility
• Drug screen results are required prior to start — candidates should be prepared to report to the lab promptly upon committing to the position
