American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a DC RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and the ability to function across pre-op, intra-procedural, and PACU settings on a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Details

• Hospital-based Endoscopy/GI Suite setting
• Serves both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Patient ratios: Pre-op 1:2, Intra-procedural 1:1, PACU 1:2
• Floating required within the GI Suite based on competency
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts with varying start times: Pre-op 0630–1700, Intra-Procedural 0700–1730, PACU 0730–1800 or 0800–1830
• Weekday on-call required once per week from 1730–0700
• Weekend on-call required every 6th or 7th weekend, covering Monday and Friday evenings (1730–0700) and Saturday–Sunday (24-hour shifts, 0700–0700)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; pending DC license accepted if proof of pending status is provided, with license in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Pre/post procedure experience required, including IV insertion and maintenance
• Inpatient experience required
• Ability to function independently in pre-op, intra-procedural, and PACU roles
• Outpatient endoscopy center experience preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• Candidate must be able to function across pre-op, intra-procedural, and PACU phases of endoscopy care
• Flu vaccine required for all staff
• Hospital-provided laundry scrubs are available; candidates may wear their own scrubs or street clothes and change on-site
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have direct endoscopy experience covering pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
