American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric OR position at an academic Level 1 facility in North Carolina, requiring at least 1 year of pediatric OR experience.

Details

• Pediatric Operating Room (Children's OR) at an academic medical center
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per day
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state license valid for practice in NC
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with pediatric OR experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must be available for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in a pediatric surgical setting
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and communicate patient care needs and promote continuity of care
• Participates in patient and family education, assessing readiness and developmental level to tailor teaching appropriately
• Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; allow at least 2 weeks for results — start dates will be adjusted if documentation deadlines are not met
