American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a hematology/oncology outpatient clinic position requiring a minimum of 12 months of oncology clinic experience and port competency.

Details

• Outpatient hematology/oncology clinic setting (brand new facility)
• Average daily patient volume of 12–15 patients
• Supported by a team of 2 NP and 3 MD providers
• Key clinical skills include phlebotomy, injections, port draws, and chemo education
• EMR: Epic (Beacon); experience strongly encouraged

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum of 12 months of oncology experience in a clinic or ambulatory setting required
• Port competency experience required
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Oncology/clinic/chemotherapy-specific skills checklist required
• Supervisory or charge-level professional reference from within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered with a minimum of 24 months of oncology experience
• 24 months of current oncology experience is highly preferred
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week and the Christmas/New Year's holiday window
