American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a High Risk Antepartum position in an OB Special Care Unit, requiring antepartum or L&D experience and certifications including Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and NRP.

Details

• Position is based in an OB Special Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Patients include high-risk antepartum cases requiring specialized monitoring and care
• Experience with antepartum, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care in a Level 1 trauma setting is required
• Night shift schedule, 3 days per week at 12 hours per day (36 hours per week)
• Full-time, 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Required certifications (all from the American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP — all must be current upon hire
• Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, and clinical techniques related to antepartum and OB care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Provides patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning for an additional contract
• Compliance timelines are strictly enforced — onboarding documentation must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance
