Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo-Certified RN for an outpatient infusion position in a multi-specialty clinic setting, requiring an active SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Multi-specialty outpatient clinic with 25+ specialties, including an infusion unit and specialty clinics
• Infusion and outpatient clinic environment serving oncology and other specialty patient populations
• Flexibility required to float between the infusion unit and specialty clinic pods (Cardiology/Neurology/Nephrology and Endocrinology/GI)
• Potential requirement to float to a nearby satellite infusion location (less than 5 minutes away)
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free, on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license in hand prior to start
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) with chemo certification
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• IV and port experience preferred
• Inpatient cardiology experience preferred
• SSN and valid driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility need
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
