Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with a minimum of 2 years of cardiothoracic experience and an active PA or compact RN license for a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit within a hospital setting
• Small, specialized heart team currently comprised of 3 RNs
• Team typically performs at least 2 heart cases per day
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with shift start times varying between 5:45am and 6:40am depending on the first scheduled case
• Weekday on-call required 1-2 times per week; call begins after shift end and runs until 7am the following day
• Weekend on-call required 1-2 weekends per 6-week scheduling cycle, covering Friday at 3pm through Monday at 7am
• On-call is from home; candidates must live within 30-40 minutes of the facility
• Weekend call-ins are rare

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiothoracic OR/CVOR experience is required
• Must reside within 30-40 minutes of the facility to be eligible for on-call responsibilities

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical cases
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
