American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) for an OR position requiring liver transplant experience and a minimum of 5 years of STFA experience.

Details

• Hospital-based operating room (OR) setting
• Primary role is as a first assistant with the possibility of scrubbing into other surgical cases as needed
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 6:15 AM – 2:45 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Louisiana or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: CSTFA or NFSA, and BLS (AHA-issued)
• Minimum of 5 years of surgical first assist (STFA) experience required
• Liver transplant experience required (must score 3 or 4 on skills checklist)
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• In the event of a declared emergency, the unit manager may assign staff to an emergency response team, which may include remaining on-site until the event passes or participating in a relief team
• By accepting a position, candidates acknowledge and agree to report as directed by their unit manager during emergency events
• RTO requests must be disclosed prior to or during the interview process
