American Traveler is seeking an experienced GI/Endoscopy RN for a travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and at least 2 years of endoscopy experience.

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a 418-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Advanced intra-procedural endoscopy area — no pre-op or recovery responsibilities
• Patient population is primarily ASA Class 3 or higher; no screening colonoscopies or standard EGDs performed
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required: 6:30 PM – 6:00 AM, two days per month
• No weekend requirement
• Floating between units and facilities within the state is expected based on skill set and facility needs
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs: any color accepted

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is an advanced procedural endoscopy unit — candidates should have experience beyond routine screening procedures
• Travelers are expected to float to other units and facilities across the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the submitting facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position; excessive RTO requests may impact eligibility
