American Traveler is seeking a travel RN specializing in Behavioral Health / Psychiatry for a night shift inpatient position in Holyoke, MA, requiring at least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health hospital setting with 104 beds across five units
• Patient population includes adults, geriatric, and pediatric (ages 5–17) patients
• Patient ratio is 1:8, variable (lower ratios on geriatric and pediatric units)
• Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required
• No block scheduling
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required
• Willingness to work with both adult and pediatric populations required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN), Nursing Diploma, or BSN from an accredited program required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation through the nursing process
• Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians, supervisors, and co-workers as appropriate
• Participates in discharge planning
• Supervision provided by shift supervisors only
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Full-time employment elsewhere is not permitted during the assignment
