American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position at a teaching hospital requiring a minimum of 2 years of direct CVOR experience and cardiac scrub skills.

Details

• Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 230 staffed beds
• Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) unit
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• Cardiac call required, with approximately 6 shifts per month minimum (1 per weekday, 2 weekend shifts); weekend call shifts are 24 hours
• Call volume may increase up to 10 shifts per month depending on staffing levels
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting via Epic
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of direct CVOR experience required
• Cardiac OR scrub experience required, as candidate will be working in a scrub capacity
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate will primarily scrub CVOR cases and may be assigned to other OR cases when no CVOR cases are scheduled
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized and completed promptly upon confirmation
• This is a nicotine-free facility — all candidates must be nicotine-free; a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine (nicotine) is required, with no exceptions
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO added after submission will likely not be approved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location may not exceed 18 consecutive months; a minimum 6-month break is required before beginning a subsequent assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
