American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 2B Special Care Nursery (SCN) night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Level 2B Special Care Nursery (SCN) within a hospital Birthplace unit
• 25-bed unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 ANU rooms, and a Recovery Room
• Patient population includes labor, postpartum, and newborn patients with an average daily census of 15–25
• Clinician-to-patient ratios: L&D 1:2–3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural; Postpartum 1:3–4
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30, every other weekend required
• No floating required
• Charting system: Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Special Care Nursery and newborn care skills required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA only) and NRP (AHA only)
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Proof of MA licensure required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to labor, postpartum, and newborn patients in a Level 2B Special Care Nursery setting
• Epic is used for charting
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
