American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Stepdown Intermediate Care position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Night shift position, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Stepdown Intermediate Care unit with a 14-bed capacity
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1
• High-acuity patient population including chest pain, post kidney transplant, acute renal failure, CHF, GI bleed, pneumonia, MI, pulmonary disease with or without mechanical ventilation, thoracic and other surgical patients with comorbidities, and drug/ETOH withdrawal
• Patients frequently transferred from across Tennessee and surrounding regions
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN or compact state license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must pass a proctored cardiac rhythm test
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Copy of RN license and Nursys verification required for consideration
• Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to critically ill stepdown patients with complex, high-acuity diagnoses
• Full SSN and full date of birth are required for consideration
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on distance from the facility
