American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult Mental Health (Behavioral Health) position requiring at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is an inpatient adult psychiatric/behavioral health unit within a hospital
• Night shift position: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AR state RN license or compact (multistate) RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date
• SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression) certification required; can be completed at the facility if needed
• Minimum 1 year of recent Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid US driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for shift accountability in delivering care to adult psychiatric patients using the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
