American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and active Iowa or compact licensure.

Details

• OB/GYN combined unit in a regional hospital setting serving Southeast Iowa
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a
• Works every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Float within the hospital to other units as needed
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 3:1 for couplet care
• Intermediate fetal monitoring equipment used, including Philips Tracevue
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if travel experience is also present
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Cannot have worked as a permanent employee at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required prior to start — no exceptions; all county and state background checks must be fully cleared (no instant or statewide searches accepted)
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult
• Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be dated within the last 12 months
• COVID vaccination card required
• Nursys/licensure verification must reflect an active license at the time of submission
