American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IV Infusion Room position requiring a MA RN license, Epic experience, and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an ambulatory infusion setting.

Details

• Position is based in an ambulatory IV Infusion Room setting
• Cross-campus role serving two hospital locations
• Serves adult hematology/oncology and medical day care patient populations
• Responsibilities include placement and maintenance of PIVs and centrally implanted venous access devices (CIVADs)
• Provides IV supportive care including therapeutic phlebotomies, blood product administration, and IV fluid management
• Administers chemotherapy and biotherapies with associated lab monitoring and symptom management
• 8-hour day shift
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• OCN or ONS chemotherapy certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency in peripheral IV placement and care required
• Experience with central line access and maintenance required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Traveling nurses strongly preferred over local candidates

Additional Information

• Works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver direct patient care in an ambulatory clinic
• Provides ongoing patient and family education throughout treatment
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
• Relias competency testing required during onboarding (2 attempts allowed) with a pass/fail assessment on day one
• COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions are accepted)
• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
