American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IV Infusion Room position requiring a MA RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Position is based in an ambulatory IV Infusion Room setting
• Cross-campus role serving two hospital locations
• Patient population includes ambulatory adult hematology/oncology and medical day care patients
• Responsibilities include placement and maintenance of PIVs and centrally implanted venous access devices (CIVADs)
• Care includes administration of chemotherapy and biotherapies, therapeutic phlebotomies, blood products, and IV fluids
• 8-hour day shift
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• OCN or ONS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Competency in peripheral IV placement and care, as well as central line access and maintenance
• Superior patient assessment skills
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary ambulatory oncology team
• Responsibilities include lab draws, symptom management, and ongoing patient and family education
• No telemetry monitor techs available on unit
• Relias testing required during onboarding (2 attempts allowed) with a pass/fail test on day one
• COVID vaccine and booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
• Candidates must have been separated from any Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) facility for at least 6 months and in good standing to be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
