American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Emergency Department position requiring a DC RN license, recent pediatric ED experience, and at least 2 years of US hospital experience in the specialty.

• Work setting is a hospital-based Pediatric Emergency Department
• Patient population includes infants, children, and young adults presenting with urgent medical needs
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses)
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• CPI certification is required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of US hospital experience in a pediatric emergency or acute care specialty
• Recent pediatric ED experience required
• Prefer 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time experience in an acute care setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide specialized, patient-centered emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with hospital policies and standards
• Responsible for care coordination and clinical leadership in support of the broader healthcare team
• Expected to demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• All certifications submitted must be AHA-issued
