American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring orthopedic experience and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 222 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with an orthopedic focus, including total joint and fracture cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within the Med/Surg service line to a sister facility as needed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license may be considered — please note status during the application process)
• Active MO RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Orthopedic nursing experience required, with proficiency in total joint and fracture care
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• 13-week contract minimum; longer contract extensions may be available
