Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with on-call responsibilities and a 4x12 day shift schedule.

Details

• Post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) in a hospital setting
• Recovers patients across a broad range of surgical specialties including IR, GI, Urology, Ophthalmology, Robotics, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neuro, Ortho Spine, ENT, and Podiatry
• Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (8:00–20:30)
• On-call required — approximately 6–8 shifts per 6-week period
• Uses GE monitors, Pyxis, and Epic EMR
• Epic EMR experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1–2 years of PACU RN experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• Epic charting experience is preferred
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
