American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at an outpatient surgery center specializing in plastic surgery, requiring a CA RN license and PACU experience with general anesthesia recovery.

Details

• Outpatient surgery center setting specializing in plastic surgery
• PACU unit focused on recovery of post-general anesthesia patients
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, with start times of 6:00 AM or 9:00 AM
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing experience required
• Experience with post-general anesthesia recovery required
• 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct and indirect patient care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, patient education, and ongoing evaluation
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents per physician or mid-level provider orders
• Document all nurse-patient encounters and clinical information in the EMR
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 RTO request during a holiday period will be approved
