American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Syracuse, NY, specializing in stroke and medical patient care with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.

Details

• Med/Surg unit (6 North Irving) within a hospital setting
• Patient population consists primarily of stroke and medical patients
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Active and clear NY RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Stroke care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Resume must have no gaps in work history
• 2 professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last year required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

Additional Information

• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a different pay rate
