Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to rotate between day and night shifts.

Details

• Work is performed in a Medical ICU (MICU) of an academic cancer hospital environment
• Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients with complex oncologic, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and critical care diagnoses including oncologic emergencies, COPD, ARDS, GI bleed, sepsis, pulmonary hypertension, and drug overdose
• Common procedures and treatments include mechanical ventilation, CRRT, pulmonary artery catheter placement, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, plasmapheresis, and support for bronchoscopy and endoscopy
• Night shift position (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30), with scheduling on a rotating day/night basis reviewed every 4-week period based on staffing needs
• Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators required
• IV insertion skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
