American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) unit position at an oncology cancer hospital, requiring chemotherapy certification and a minimum of one year of med/surg and oncology experience.

Details

• Mixed acuity PCU and med/surg BMT unit within a cancer hospital and research center
• Patient population includes hematologic malignancies and disorders such as ALL, AML, CLL, CML, Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Myeloproliferative Disorders, Aplastic Anemia, and Amyloidosis
• Specialized procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, peripheral line care, feeding tube care, and nasal cannula administration
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Rotating 12-hour day/night contract — shift assignments (days, nights, or a combination) are determined by department needs and reviewed each 4-week scheduling period

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of med/surg and oncology nursing experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs)
