American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week day shift travel contract in Santa Fe, NM, requiring TNCC or ATCN and AHA-issued ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

• Emergency Services department within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend requirement
• Voluntary on-call requirement
• Floating to other units as helping hands during low census periods

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or current Compact state license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications (all from AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC)
• TNCC or ATCN required
• CPI or equivalent preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Must be able to handle emergency and crisis situations, with prolonged standing and walking
• Heavy physical effort required to position, push, and/or transfer patients or equipment
• Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching required
• Hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits; manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

• Coordinates and implements age-appropriate patient care in a safe and efficient manner consistent with unit standards
• Communicates clearly and appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and staff
• Work environment includes exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
