American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Partum (PP) night shift position in Honolulu, HI, requiring an active HI RN license and a minimum of 1 year of recent postpartum experience.

Details

• 13-week travel contract in a hospital-based Post Partum unit in Honolulu, HI
• Night shift schedule: 7:15 PM – 7:45 AM (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required (must be in hand at time of consideration — pending licensure not accepted)
• Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent postpartum nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school required
• Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring
• Demonstrated IV skills and ability to perform lab draws
• Demonstrated knowledge of high-risk medication administration including Magnesium, Oxytocin, and Insulin
• Demonstrated ability to perform urine point-of-care (POC) testing and capillary blood glucose testing
• Demonstrated knowledge of iStat operation
• Demonstrated ability to perform adult cardiac monitoring
• Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitoring including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring
• Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns
• Demonstrated knowledge of newborn IV medication administration and maintenance
• Demonstrated knowledge of bili-blankets/lights and radiant warmers
• Demonstrated knowledge to support gynecological teaching, post-operative bladder training, and maternal-newborn education
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• BSN or related bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of postpartum experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted — local and travel rates are the same
• Candidates who have worked with this health system for a cumulative period approaching two years may be subject to a required 90-day break before returning on assignment
