Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• 48-bed cardiac-focused stepdown/PCU unit in a hospital setting
• Unit includes 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds (travelers not required to take cardiac surgery patients)
• Patient population includes CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery cases
• Frequent IV drip management including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in DC (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• CPI certification required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry RN experience in a US hospital required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Active US SSN required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the most recent 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
