American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry overflow unit in Alabama, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and experience with high-acuity patients and cardiac drips.

Details

• Medical Surgical overflow and telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• High-acuity patient population with a 1:6 or 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Proficiency required with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, with 3x12 or 4x12 hours available based on traveler preference
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Block booking available
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Alabama (AL) or compact RN license, in good standing
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Must be comfortable managing high-acuity patients
• Experience with cardiac drip administration (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone) required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must provide a copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card for consideration
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file
• Flu shot required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file

• Scrub colors: all navy, or navy pants with a white top
• Orientations are held every other Monday
