Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring a BSN, active Ohio RN license, and a minimum of one year of OR experience, with on-call responsibilities including heart call.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting with 8 OR suites
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• On-call required at minimum 1–2 days per week and at least one weekend per month (Friday–Sunday), plus heart call as assigned
• EMR: Epic experience preferred
• Floating between two hospital campuses (both located in southwestern Ohio) may be required at the facility's discretion

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license currently in hand
• BSN or ADN required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required
• Must be able to work with acutely ill patients, including in emergency situations
• Ability to function independently, as a team member, and as charge nurse as assigned
• Ability to adapt to a changing clinical environment

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering high-standard nursing care within the CVOR, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and applicable regulatory standards
• Provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support with direct and indirect impact on patient and family outcomes
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
