American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of experience along with ACLS, PALS, and TNCC/ATCN certifications.

Details

• Works in the Emergency Services department of an acute care hospital setting
• Mid shift schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Required to work every other weekend
• On-call is voluntary
• Floating may be required as helping hands during low census periods

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or current Compact state license
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) or ENPC, and TNCC or ATCN
• CPI or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ED experience required
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Must be able to handle emergency and crisis situations, perform prolonged standing and walking, and assist with patient positioning and transfers requiring heavy physical effort
• Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Active copies of all certifications required for consideration

• Coordinates and implements patient care appropriate to the age and needs of the assigned patient population
• Ensures care is delivered in a safe, efficient manner consistent with unit standards
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care team members across developmental age groups
• Works in a smoke-free environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases; subject to stressful and variable working conditions
• Reports to the Patient Care Director or Manager
