American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Los Angeles, CA, requiring a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Unit includes 4 Triage bays, 11 LDR rooms, 2 ORs, NICU, and Post-Partum, with 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
• Manages both low and high-risk Labor & Delivery cases
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Floating to the Perinatal unit may be required
• On-call is voluntary; however, nurses may be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift
• EMR: Allscripts (eMDs); also uses Omnicell and SBAR communication framework

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 3 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Proficiency with external fetal monitoring required
• Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns required
• Experience circulating for C-sections required

• RTO of no more than 3 days total for the contract duration; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is expected; one holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed to be approved
• All RTO requests are final once submitted and cannot be modified — only cancellations are permitted, so confirm all needed dates in advance
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
